Soapy soap and Frontier Gamblers

  1. SOAPY SMITH'S SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL - Stake your claim on the genuine article,
a lustrous nugget of soap! Guaranteed to make your skin feel like a million bucks. Your prospects are sure to pay off when you bathe with Soapy Smith's Saturday Night Special, a soap scented with a secret blend of oils that will leave you smelling irresistible (spicy ginger & vanilla). What are you waiting's time to bathe! 4oz. (Please note: I know nothing of this soap and do not endorse it. This is just an interesting link.)

  2. FRONTIER GAMBLERS - Now this is a site I endorse. This is the website of Bob Wood, historian, collector, and dealer in fine old west antiques. His site covers the history of some of the most famous gamblers of the nineteenth century, including Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, and Soapy Smith. Also cover on his site is the history of gambling, the games they played, and the equipment they used. His links page lists other sites he has on topics such as the Dodge City Peace Commission and Luke Short. Also there is a link to Old West Antiques. Bob sells some of the finest old west artifacts. Just browsing his store is an education in itself.
